Delivery Information

In the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man & Scilly Isles we offer delivery to domestic and business addresses for all products. 

Our webshop is not set up for orders outside of the above areas.

Our working hours are weekdays only from 09:00 to 17:00 (16:00 Fridays). Any orders received outside of these times will be processed the next working day.

Small Shipments :

Most shipments under 2 Kgs in weight will be sent by post, usually as a trackable service.

Medium Shipments up to 30 Kgs :

Boxable shipments will typically be sent by a parcel service, DPD. There is a weight limit of 30 Kgs per parcel. Under normal circumstances and if the item is in stock and we have sufficient time to pack the goods for shipment, orders received by 12 noon on a working day will generally be collected by our parcel service on the same day. Otherwise, they will be collected the following working day.

Although never guaranteed (on account of factors beyond DPD’s control) the standard aim for most areas of the UK is to deliver “Next Day.” For logistical reasons delivery may be longer for Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Under normal circumstances, if you have provided us with email and mobile phone details, DPD will send tracking and delivery notifications in advance. In the event you are not able to accept delivery, DPD will attempt re-delivery on two more days and will then return the goods to Glampsan.

Large / Bulky / Heavy Shipments :

Beyond 30 Kg in weight - and always when liquids are involved - the shipment is generally despatched by a pallet service, available as a Next Day service or as a 2-3 working day service. The service is available for both commercial and domestic customers.

The cut-off ordering time for palletised goods is 12 noon in order for us to arrange collection from our warehouse the same day, although this is never guaranteed by the pallet service provider for operational reasons.

For carbon footprint and efficiency reasons, the pallet service will use larger vehicles and will have been scheduled with multiple drops/deliveries per day. Although some vehicles may be equipped with a tail lift to offload items, this service is not standard and if your goods are loaded on the front of the truck the tail lift may not be accessible.

Our pallet service provider will generally ring ahead to indicate a delivery time.

The driver will typically wait a maximum of 15 minutes in order to deliver. Beyond this time, in order to continue with his/her schedule the driver may have to move on and mark the delivery as “aborted.” Whereas many commercial premises will have suitable lifting equipment to offload these heavier items, if you do not have equipment and/or if you are a domestic customer you should please ensure that you will have the time and means to offload the goods. In all cases, for health and safety reasons the driver is not able to unload the goods for you.

Regrettably, if the end-customer is unable to offload the goods and the delivery attempt is aborted when the service provider is not at fault, additional costs for a re-delivery will be levied on us by the delivery service. We will discuss this with you and come to an agreement.
